Julie is a Certified Personal Trainer (AAAI-ISMA) and Physical Therapist (BS in PT from University of Maryland) with thirty years of experience. Her specialty is working with the over-50 population, post-surgery or disability, with a focus on safely improving strength and balance. Julie is an avid runner with a life-long commitment to exercise. Her degree and experience in the physical therapy clinic allow her to work with each client and address all of their personal training needs. Whether they have had a previous surgery, a current diagnosis, or are experiencing some of the challenges of aging, Julie uses her career knowledge to create the best possible exercise program for every individual.
Allison is a certified personal trainer (NASM, AAAI-ISMA) with a background in physical therapy and over 30 years of experience helping clients throughout the DC/MD area lead healthier, stronger lives.
She specializes in working with adults over 60 but has trained a wide range of clients—from young adults to individuals in their 90s. Known for making exercise fun, creative, and engaging, Allison combines her deep knowledge of movement and injury prevention with a passion for strength training to help clients move safely and confidently toward improved quality of life.
Outside of training, she continues to challenge herself through CrossFit and pickleball, and loves travel, theater and spending time with her family including her deaf pit bull, Max.
A 20-year veteran in the fitness industry, Coach Fola knows how to engage his audiences to reach their full potential. Co-creating multiple fitness companies to provide fitness to all, Fola is deeply motivated to continue bringing fitness knowledge and benefits to the masses.

Les is a certified professional trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine with a BS in Public Health. He is also a Sports Nutrition Specialist (NCSF) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM). Les has years of experience in the fitness industry and one year utilizing infrared imaging to assess biomechanics in baseball athletes. Being a former powerlifter, men's physique competitor and assistant football coach has allowed him to mentor others to utilize discipline to reach goals and live healthier lives. Les has helped clients navigate through movement for pre and post hip replacements, pre and post knee replacements, pre and post rotator cuff, spinal stenosis, arthritis, and frozen shoulder challenges. Les has also worked with clients with Parkinson's, spinal issues, stroke, ALS, MS, dementia, neuropathy, vertigo and fibromyalgia.
In his free time, Les enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and being a life-long learner.
Donny is a master trainer and holistic exercise therapist who loves art, food, the outdoors and sports, especially boxing and football. After receiving his bachelors in physical education, Donny moved to Florida for the opportunity to play professional football, but suffered a game-changing injury. Today, Donny is focused on helping others increase their mobility, strength, and functional ability through holistic approaches to fitness, nutrition, health, and well-being. Donny is passionate about helping people reach their goals, stay active and live healthier lives.
Kathy is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and Post Rehab Specialist and Health Coach with the energy and ideas to keep her clients motivated. She started her education as a radiologic technician but realized her true passion was exercise and fitness. As a personal trainer for over 25 years, Kathy has helped clients from 12-85 years of age recover from an injury, lose weight, and live a healthier lifestyle. In addition, Kathy's knowledge of the LSVT "Big" Parkinson's program and PD training has helped her clients lead safer, fuller lives. When not helping others, she enjoys running, golf, gardening and hiking with her dog.
Kathy is based in Hershey,PA and represents PTPOST in that area.
Andrew graduated from Bowdoin College with a Bachelor of Art in Biology, Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health with a Master of Health Science in Epidemiology, and University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Physical Therapy with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Andrew, a former college lacrosse player, enjoys being active biking, hiking with his dog Bo, trying to keep up with his 3 boys and hopes one day to thru hike the Appalachian Trail. Prior to joining
PTPOST, Andrew's clinical experience includes 5 years at Sumner Fitness,
Washington Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine’s SMARTherapy practice, National Rehabilitation Hospital, and Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland. He has worked with patients of all ages who may be recovering from injuries, trying to avoid surgery, or post-operation recovery, to gain range of motion, strength and balance and want to maintain active, productive, independent lifestyles. Andrew is certified as a Functional Standards for Optimal Aging Expert, administering the Adult Functional Independence Test (AFIT), to help people identify issues prior to them becoming problematic later in life.
Lynea Woody is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Health Wellness Coach (HWC) with over 10 years of experience helping people improve their health through fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle change. She specializes in creating personalized programs for a wide range of clients, with a special passion for supporting older adults and those rebuilding strength post-rehab. Known for her supportive and approachable style, Lynea makes fitness accessible, encouraging, and sustainable for every stage of life.
She holds multiple certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), including Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Weight Loss Specialist, Behavior Change Specialist, and Group Personal Training Specialist. With degrees in Business Finance and Elementary Education, she blends technical expertise with teaching and leadership skills. Outside of coaching, Lynea can be found on a boat, in a plane, or walking through the grass—living the healthy, active lifestyle she inspires in others.
Kolon holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is a certified personal trainer.
Kolon works with clients of all ages and fitness levels and specializes in weight loss, rehab and biomechanics training and education. He is proficient in strength training, sports conditioning and functional performance, youth and senior fitness, special populations, flexibility and core training, and TRX. Kolon stays in shape by running, playing basketball, martial arts, strength training, and doing calisthenics.
Kolon believes that: “In today’s busy world it’s easy to adopt a sedentary lifestyle which can lead to an array of problems. Although it can be difficult to develop a routine, exercise works wonders on our physical and emotional well being. Nia Kim is a certified ASFA personal trainer and licensed PTA with a BS degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland.
Nia’s passion in the field has always been sports medicine and has a special interest in post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries. She has worked with athletes of all ages with total body strengthening and maintenance over the years and started her career helping to train/rehabilitate both DC United and Washington Freedom soccer players back in the early 2000s. Nia loves combining rehab with fitness and helping people in all stages of life attain their goals. Formula for success in the fitness journey is increasing a person's capacity, not the load or stopping what they love doing!
Sarah is a Physical Therapist (Doctor of PT from Boston University), Certified Personal Trainer (AAAI-ISMA), and Certified Athletic Trainer. Her clinical experience and knowledge of sport-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and specialization in balance/fall-risk prevention has helped individuals of all ages and fitness levels achieve their lifestyle goals. Sarah divides her time between her work as a physical therapist and personal trainer, as she is a firm believer that the health-building process doesn’t stop (and in some cases has only just begun) when you complete your physical therapy care. She will develop personalized, functional, yet creative routines which keep her clients motivated to achieve their most active selves. In her spare time you can find her practicing her tennis and golf games, and indulging in new food experiences.
Shannon is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist with a BS in Kinesiology from University of Maryland, College Park. She recently completed a Graduate Certificate in corrective exercise and orthopedic rehabilitation from A.T. Still University. She has worked in clinical and recreational settings including physical therapy and cardiology clinics as well as gyms. Most recently, Shannon has been working with older adults and people with Parkinson's Disease. She is a PWR! Moves Instructor and has also taken 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Shannon loves getting to know her clients and making movement feel accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable.
Sam is a Washington, D.C. native with roots in Rockville, Maryland. Growing up, he immersed himself in music and the performing arts. It was during his pursuit of a BA in Theatre at the University of Maryland that he discovered his passion for fitness and health. Since then, Sam has studied various fitness and movement disciplines, including gymnastics strength training, acrobatics, and the Alexander Technique.
As an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer, Sam has accumulated a wealth of professional experience in a variety of gym settings, ranging from open gyms and private studios to in-home training and virtual platforms. His specialized knowledge spans corrective exercise, weightlifting, strength training, and calisthenics.
Sam has also completed Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Training for Fitness Professionals, through the American Parkinson Disease Association. This allows Sam to safely and effectively work with those who exhibit all forms of Parkinson’s disease, from the initial stage to more progressed stages.
Sam has successfully worked with a diverse clientele, including individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities, post-rehabilitation clients, athletes, and those new to fitness.
Beyond his role as a personal trainer, Sam maintains an active presence in the music scene, performing regularly throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
George has been involved in the fitness industry since the early 2000s. He began his journey as an exercise science student at Slippery Rock University where he obtained his degree. George has since completed certifications in many arenas including nutrition, Egoscue therapy, coaching, and kettlebell training. Specific areas of specialization include weightlifting, powerlifting, nutrition, postural alignment, kettlebell conditioning, youth training and working with seniors to improve balance and bone density. He also has a specialized certification in PWR*, a Parkinson’s wellness recovery program. George has done one-on-one personal training with children to senior adults, as well as group fitness training. He is a published author of two books - 'Abdominal Training: Inside and Out' and 'Fitness Through the Eyes of the Heart' - and has written articles for the Milo strength journal. He is also a Navy Veteran who has served in both reserve and active components. This service included assisting as command fitness leader where he administered body composition assessments, fitness testing for sailors, and counseling as needed.
Mercedes
Diane is a certified personal trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), holds a bachelor of science degree, in Kinesiology, from the University of Maryland, and a bachelor of science degree, in Nursing, from Marymount University.
She has extensive experience as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor,
as well as an exercise specialist at a
physical therapy clinic.
She enjoys utilizing functional training, yoga and Pilates to help her clients of all ages move and feel their best. She has specialty certifications in Kettlebells, Yogafit Level 1 and TRX suspension training. As well as, working as a personal trainer she also works as a labor and delivery, and postpartum nurse, at a local hospital. She enjoys taking care of her patients, mainly mothers and newborn babies, and working together with her co-workers to provide the best birthing experience. When she’s not training clients or at the hospital she enjoys walking with her dog, going to Pilates classes, dancing hip-hop at a local dance studio, and spending time exploring the DMV with her husband and two young children.
